Banyan tree root system representing interconnection

Our approach

A better way to learn about property in Malaysia

These are not marketing promises. They are the practical characteristics of how we work โ€” and why participants tell us they would not have engaged differently.

At a glance

What sets Lestari Money apart

Every item below addresses a specific gap we observed in how property education is typically delivered in Malaysia โ€” and how we chose to do it differently.

Malaysian regulation, first principles

Every course is built around actual BNM guidelines, RPGT schedules, and Malaysian stamp duty legislation. Not general property theory adapted from other markets.

Practitioners, not course facilitators

Our educators hold licences from MIEA, MFPC, and the Board of Valuers. They practise in their fields and teach from direct, current experience.

Structured for reflection, not urgency

Sessions are spaced so participants can read, consider, and return with real questions โ€” not absorb information in a single intensive day.

No commission or referral interest

Lestari Money does not earn from developer referrals, bank panel arrangements, or any property transaction. Advice is shaped only by what suits the learner.

Evening sessions, no leave required

All webinars and in-person sessions are scheduled outside standard working hours. Participants should not need to adjust their working day to attend.

Printed materials you keep

Buyer workbooks and strategy binders are physical documents, not PDF downloads. Participants refer back to them over months and years, not just during the course.

Professional expertise

Eight years of Malaysian property education

The team behind Lestari Money's programmes has worked in Malaysian property banking, estate agency, financial planning, and valuation โ€” not education as a primary career, but as an extension of professional practice. This distinction matters when a participant asks a question that sits at the edge of what a course outline covers.

  • MIEA registered estate agents on the teaching team
  • Certified Financial Planners holding MFPC credentials
  • Course materials peer-reviewed before each cohort
  • Active practitioners, not retired advisors

Tools used in our courses

  • Loan eligibility calculators using current BNM margin-of-financing rules
  • Downloadable rental yield spreadsheets calibrated to Malaysian sub-markets
  • Recorded webinar library for enrolled participants โ€” accessible for three months post-course
  • Printed buyer workbook and strategy binder with worked Malaysian examples
  • Current RPGT rate schedules and stamp duty tables issued at each cohort start

Technology and tools

Practical tools, not complicated software

The tools we use in courses are chosen because participants can keep using them after the programme ends โ€” spreadsheets they can fill in with their own numbers, printed templates they can annotate, and recorded sessions they can revisit. The emphasis is on tools that remain useful over a three-to-five year decision horizon, not platforms that require a subscription or training to operate.

Customer service

Responses within one working day, every time

Enquiries to Lestari Money are handled by a person โ€” not a chatbot, not an auto-responder, not a sales team. The person who responds can answer substantive questions about programme content, suitability, and scheduling. If a question requires an advisor rather than an administrator, it is escalated the same day.

  • All enquiries acknowledged within one working day
  • Pre-enrolment calls available with no obligation to proceed
  • Post-session questions addressed by the delivering advisor
  • Office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm MYT

"Before I signed up for anything I wanted to ask some basic questions. The person on the phone didn't push me towards any course. She listened and then said โ€” honestly โ€” that she wasn't sure whether the Foundations course or something more intermediate was right for me. That surprised me. We arranged a short call with the advisor the following week."

Value and transparency

Fees that reflect what is included

The pricing structure for each programme reflects the actual cost of delivering licensed professional consultation alongside educational content. There are no add-on charges, no upselling during the course, and no follow-on products. If a participant completes a programme and wishes to engage an advisor for ongoing personal financial planning, they are referred to independent practitioners at their own discretion.

What only we offer

Distinctive elements of our programmes

The Banyan Network model

Our curriculum is structured as an interconnected root system โ€” each module visibly supports the others. Loan Eligibility, RPGT, and Tenant Profiles are taught in relation to one another, not as isolated subjects.

Written strategy documents

The Strategy Programme produces a written, personalised property strategy binder โ€” a physical document that serves as a household reference for property decisions over the years ahead. No other provider in Malaysia includes this as standard.

Valuer-coordinated review

Strategy Programme participants receive a coordinated review with a registered valuer โ€” a professional perspective on property value and marketability that most education providers cannot arrange as part of their fee structure.

Honest pre-enrolment guidance

We will tell an enquirer when our programmes are not the right fit for their situation. This is not a common practice in course sales โ€” but it is the practice that produces participants who are actually ready to learn.
